An insights and support session for public relations and leadership communication

Communicating through Chaos

We are living through an era of extreme disruption, where political turmoil, economic instability and the rapid spread of misinformation are creating unprecedented challenges. What was business as usual yesterday may be untenable tomorrow.

Public relations and communications professionals, along with those working in media and public engagement, are already feeling the pressure - facing demands to defend, deflect or distort narratives under volatile conditions.

This free, 60-minute session is designed to help practitioners prepare for the realities ahead. Ethical challenges, reputational risks and political interference are no longer distant possibilities but daily battles.

This session is free because preparedness should not be a privilege. Your ability to navigate chaos should not depend on a budget line.  The aim is to find a starting point and hopefully, draw support (and a bit of hope and strength) from collective wisdom.

Please don't send your AI notetaker. There are a limited number of places and your AI will take up space that's meant for real live humans.

We ran the session and had the conversation. If you would like to watch the recording, find some food for thought or share your views, register and engage.

Why this?
Why now?

The Trump-Musk administration is reshaping global affairs, twisting truths and realities, accelerating democratic decline and destabilising economies.

Around the world, extremist movements are gaining ground, misinformation is being weaponised putting the integrity of organisations, institutions and individual professionals under threat.

For public relations and communications professionals, this means:
  • External and internal pressure to push false or misleading narratives
  • Defending organisations against sudden waves of misinformation and disinformation
  • Navigating reputational crises that emerge overnight
  • Facing ethical dilemmas that put careers - and conscience - on the line
  • Political interference in organisational messaging and decision-making
  • Managing personal and professional risk in a hostile environment

Ignoring these realities is not an option. Preparation is critical.

What you will gain from this session

This is not a passive webinar - it is a working session, a starting point, designed to provide practical insights, peer support and explore potential solutions.

Together, we will:

Identify the immediate challenges ahead and the current threats to communication integrity

Work through real-world scenarios to build response readiness

Discuss ways to resist misinformation pressure and maintain ethical practice

Explore cross sector support networks - because no one should be navigating this on their own

Whether you work in corporate, government, non-profit, media or independent consulting, the choices you make now will define how well you and your organisation withstand what is coming.
